Job Description :

Seeking qualified candidates for a Customer Service/Shipping Clerk position in Hickory, NC. Shift hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Pay is between $12-$15 an hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Computer experience required. (Outlook, Excel) Experience in JDE is a plus.

  • Process incoming orders, which includes customer confirmations, order accuracy.

  • verification, and credit release if needed.

  • Liaison between manufacturing and customers & Sales Reps.

  • Answer incoming telephone calls and emails in a courteous and professional manner

  • Maintain customer database.

  • Process customer inquiries, order entry.

  • Communicates customer’s needs and expectations in a timely manner to production

  • department.

  • Matching and filing orders.

  • Skilled in coordinating traffic & deliveries with production.

  • Coordinate shipping of freight with all common carriers.

  • Prepare delivery tickets, print customer labels & back orders.

  • File freight claims for damaged or loss items.

  • Other various Customer Service/Shipping duties.

  • Assist with yearend inventory as needed.


Required Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a good work record and attendance history.

  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be able to multitask.

  • Must be able to work and communicate well in a team environment.

  • Must be able to work overtime if needed.

  • Other duties as deemed by Management.

  • Must be professional and courteous at all time.
